Centro Nueva Creacion

Centro Nueva Creación is a non profit organization in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia dedicated to empowering young people to positively transform their community. This mission is accomplished through after school and summer learning programs based in the arts and Latino cultures.

Centro Nueva Creación builds hope in Fairhill and surrounding neighborhoods by creating opportunities for youth and families to transform their community. This mission is realized through programs in education, community service, career development, technology and the arts.

History

Centro Nueva Creación opened its doors in 1994, after an extensive door-to-door campaign asking residents what they want for their community. The residents’ echoed each other’s concerns: we want more positive activities for our youth, we want to bring families together, and we want to make the community safer, cleaner and more beautiful. These hopes continue to be the driving force behind all of our programs.
